The site is divided into the areas of: life stages, financial topics, and women. The homepage for each section provides links to more specific topics. The life stages section is broken down into categories such as childhood, college, career, military and reserves, couples and marriage, parenthood, home ownership, entrepreneurs, life crisis, the sandwich generation and retirement and estate planning.

Wide-ranging Internet site of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP); contains information on personal financial planning, work, health, wellness, etc.

American Institute of Philanthropy - Charity Watch

Rates national nonprofit groups on a variety of standards, including what percentage of charitable dollars go to aid programs compared with administrative costs.

This central site allows you to request a free credit file disclosure, commonly called a credit report, once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. It is sponsored by those companies

Barron's

The web site of the well-known financial newspaper; published by Dow Jones; great coverage of financial and business news; has a very useful “market laboratory” section that is full of useful statistics on the stock and bond markets.

Better Business Bureau

Allows you to check out the reliability of companies and charities; file a complaint, and obtain consumer information and guidance.
